The Bicester Fossils, an over 50’s walking football club who train at Whitelands Farm Sports Ground in Bicester, is calling for women over 40 who may want to play walking football to come along to a taster session.

The free session will take place at Whitelands Farm Sports Ground on Friday, July 22 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Chairman of the Bicester Fossils, Steve Payne, said: “We’ve always wanted a women’s team.

“Many teams around the country now have over 40’s women’s teams, and now, after receiving some funding, we can start our own.

“We’ve got a pitch booked every Friday for the Women, but if we have enough interest then we can see about changing the dates and times of each session to suit needs.”
