'This Is Disgusting', Comedian Samay Raina's Dark Joke On Abortions Is Making People Angry

Comedian Samay Raina took to Twitter to crack a joke about abortions and it didn't go down well with anyone. He is being slammed online by several people for sexist,  misogynistic and insensitive joke. In fact, most people are asking 'Where is the joke'.

The comedian known for Comicstaan tweeted, "Parso maine aadha ghanta sochke meri girlfriend pe ek funny tweet likha tha, usko pasand nahi aaya toh usne delete karwa diya, kal ko jabh mai abortion karwaane bolu tabh mat bolna my body my choice. And hell broke loose!

As a result, he is now getting severely criticised on Twitter.

"Men and their audacity," wrote a Twitter user quoting his tweet.

"Hon, are you sure it's a joke? At this point in our cultural turmoil? Surely sure?" asked another user.

"'take it as a joke' um where is the joke?" asked another one.

"We need abortion rights because god forbid your kid might turn out to be a indian male stand up comedian called samay raina," said another fan.

Talking about his foray into comedy and conservative background, Samay Raina had told Indian Express, "I come from a conservative Kashmiri Pandit family so one can imagine the doubts which arise. There is also a joke I often make with respect to my parents, where they question why I’m pursuing comedy after they gave up their life in Kashmir to give me a stable life". He is also a celebrity chess streamer.

In a similar incident, comedian Munawar Faruqui was slammed earlier for insensitive joke referring to Justin Bieber's facial paralysis. He had tweeted, "Dear Justin Bieber, i can totally understand Even here in india right side not working properly."
