'Dr Pimple Popper' star Dr Sandra Lee returns with the eighth season of bursting, gushing, and skin-saving as a patient named Aimee comes in with a mohawk of cysts on her head. Dr Lee, a dermatologist, and cosmetic surgeon has become a household celebrity thanks to her amazing squeezes and frequently delightful extractions.

Aimee, 33, visits Dr Lee in search of a cure for the bumps all over her head. She first noticed the 'bump mohawks' while she was in high school; they weren't particularly large at the time, but as she grew older, the bumps grew larger. Aimee has always found it difficult to do her hair daily. Her bumps have made her extremely paranoid, and she hopes to no longer have to hide them from others.

Aimee tells Dr Lee that she hasn't seen a doctor before her, but she did have to go to the ER once when one of the bumps erupted. None of them vanished or shrank; in fact, a new one sprung up exactly next to the old one. When a cyst ruptures beneath the skin, the contents can be discharged, but the cyst sac wall remains, according to Dr Lee. When it grows up again, it may take on a different shape. This can cause the cyst to form adhesions and scar tissue, and become trapped, making removal much more difficult.

Dr Lee examines the bumps and concludes that they are Pilar Cysts. When she notices a small beard developing on top of the bumps, Dr Lee explains her "Dr Lee theory," which states that when the cysts grow, they push up on the hair follicles beneath the skin, distorting them and making the hair grow a little funnier. Dr. Lee feels they are all Pilar Cysts, but she can't be certain because they are all various sizes. She hopes to remove them entirely through surgery.

Dr Lee assaults from the front and works her way back. While keeping things light for Aimee, she numbs the region around the Pilar Cyst and performs an incision, finally removing the entire cyst as well as the cyst sac wall to ensure they don't return. Things become more difficult for Dr Lee when she reaches the last cyst that has previously ruptured. When Aimee begins to experience pain, Dr Lee increases the numbing drug and focuses on removing the last cyst. When the cyst was previously ruptured, it grew back, although in smaller chunks this time. Dr Lee eventually removes every single piece of Aimee's head, removing every last cyst.
