In an upcoming episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper,' Dr Sandra Lee meets her new patient, Robert, who walks around with tiny bumps covering both his arms. Dr Lee is taken aback by Robert's condition; can she help him for good?

'Dr Pimple Popper' is a medical reality program that follows Dr Sandra Lee, or "Dr Pimple Popper," as she treats patients with severe dermatological diseases such as huge cysts or other skin growths. Most of these disorders must be "popped" in some fashion, which means they must be cut open, and pus, blood, or other biological material removed. Though there is no classically inappropriate content in 'Dr Pimple Popper' — violence, nudity, drinking, drugs, or profanity — the many surgical incisions, injections, blood, and other bio-waste may be incredibly repulsive, even traumatizing. The new episode, which will premiere on TLC on August 3 at 9/8c, is not for the faint of heart.

Robert, Dr Sandra Lee's patient, has been battling his condition since he was 13 years old. He was told that the lumps were cholesterol. He informs Dr Lee that a large medical team was brought in to examine him, and which took photographs and put him in medical books, making him feel like a guinea pig at the time. He says that the doctors took a biopsy from the back of his arm to see whether it was malignant. Thankfully, Robert explains, it didn't grow back and is now just a small scar. When Dr Lee examines the scar, she feels it looks fine since it healed properly. That was years ago, according to Robert, and he is delighted that the spot healed well.

Dr Lee diagnoses Robert with Eruptive Xanthomas after examining his condition. She adds that the excessive cholesterol in his blood vessels is diffusing out and into his skin. His skin is now accumulating these fat-ladened cells, resulting in these little lumps. Dr Lee finds it intriguing since she has never seen the condition progress to this point. She admits that this is the worst case of Eruptive Xanthomas she has ever encountered.

Dr Lee explains to the viewers that Robert has so high levels of cholesterol that it's popping out of his skin, and manifesting in the form of the lumps. She adds that a person with this many Xenthomas is most certainly suffering from an interior medical problem, which might offer a very complicated dilemma when deciding how to treat him. When Dr Lee asks if Robert has Triglycerides, he responds that he has extraordinarily high triglycerides: 600 when he was 13. He also says he has a clogged artery and is on blood thinners and a slew of other medications. On top of that, he is diabetic.

Dr Lee informs Robert that she considers him intriguing as a person after hearing all of this. First and foremost, he has a major cardiovascular risk and a known blocked artery; she must provide numbing medication that can be hazardous to the heart. Dr Lee has a lot to worry about, starting with how much of the bumps will bleed and how they will heal. This is the problem with Robert's case, and she has no idea what she is getting herself into because she has never removed one.

Given Robert's medical situation, can Dr. Lee assist him? Find out in a new episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper,' which airs on TLC on August 3 at 9/8c.
