In the preview for the upcoming episode, Alexis reveals in a confessional that the last time she saw a dermatologist, she had the lump near her eye drained but received no medication. There was no numbing medication, and it was the most agonizing pain she had ever known. Unfortunately, it reappeared three months later. This made it difficult for her to walk outdoors since she didn't want anyone to see her in that state. So she's been a recluse for the last eight years. She reveals in a confessional that she used to be the life of the party and that she wants it back. She wishes she could go back in time and enjoy life. She is just 38 years old, and all she wants is to live and not be isolated.

Alexis informs Dr Lee that she has had this bump for 10 years. When Dr Lee asks whether she attempted to squeeze it, she says she had it drained previously. She stated that she had three c-sections, but nothing compared to the discomfort of the doctor squeezing the bulge out, which returned three months later. Dr Lee believes it is a cyst, but because the sac was not removed, it never completely disappeared. Dr Lee explains to Alexis that the balloon that loses skin cells when squeezed is still present, which is why it filled up again.

Dr Lee examines the lump to ensure if it is definitely a cyst. She tells the viewers that it's always discouraging for individuals to get a bump removed just to have it return immediately, especially when you're in tremendous agony as Alexis was. She goes on to say that she is a numb lover, that she is constantly numbing, and that as long as it is safe, she will numb them no matter what. In Alexis' situation, she has had an experience in the same region where she experienced tremendous agony, thus Dr Lee believes she not only needs to numb the skin but also her mind.

Dr Lee believes it is a little cyst that is moving about freely, which she considers to be good. She admits that she would attempt to pull it out via the tiniest little opening she can manage, but her fear is that because it has been squeezed previously, it sometimes increases the likelihood of her not being able to get it out. She goes on to say that this happens when there is some scar tissue present. Dr Lee, on the other hand, assures Alexis that she would do her best. Alexis admits to being worried as she prepares for surgery, but she hopes she will not be in any discomfort or suffering. All Alexis wants at the end of it is to get it off her face.

Will Dr Lee be able to remove the cyst from Alexis' face? Can Alexis reclaim the life she always desired? Find out the answers in the brand-new episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper,' which airs on TLC on August 3 at 9/8c.
