A man in his 40s has been stabbed in North London. Police were called to Philip Lane, near to Seven Sisters Station, at 7.35 pm on Thursday evening (August 11) to reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 40s with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital.

Another man, in his 30s, also sustained facial injuries at the same location. Both men have now been arrested. Police aren't searching for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Philip Lane was closed in both directions whilst emergency services were at the scene. By Friday morning (August 12) the police cordon had been lifted.

Statement from Met Police as one man left with 'facial injuries'

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told MyLondon: "Met Police were called at 19:37hrs on 11 August to Philip Lane, junction with Summerhill Road N15 following reports of a stabbing.

"A man in his 40s was found with stab injuries.

"Another man in his 30s was found with facial injuries.

"Both men have been arrested. The man in his 40s has been taken to hospital prior to police custody. And taken to hospital for medical treatment. No one else is outstanding/believed involved."
