UPLAND, CALIFORNIA: In the latest episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 8, Dr Sandra Lee encounters one of the most severe cases of Cylindromas. Elizabeth's head is covered with huge cauliflower-shaped bumps that she wants to be removed in episode six titled, 'A Head of Cauliflower Bumps.'

Elizabeth, 66, believes she has a condition that caused cyst-like formations on her head. When she was 13, she saw two blueberry-sized cysts. Daniela, Elizabeth's friend, reports that Elizabeth believes she has two types of bumps on her head, the left ones being harder than the right ones. Scarring and blood can be seen on several of her lumps. The bumps that annoy her the most are on the left; regardless of which side she sleeps on, they hurt her a lot.

Elizabeth was 13 when she first noticed the bumps and was taken to a dermatologist, where she learned about her condition. She started relying on home cures and aloe vera, which was never enough. She has had removal treatments, but they keep reappearing in new places on her head. Elizabeth's most recent doctor informed her that she has a genetic disorder known as Cyto Mitosis. Elizabeth didn't want to have another procedure because the pain from the prior one was awful.

Elizabeth exposed the enormous bumps on her head hidden beneath her beanie when Dr Lee asked her why she came to the clinic, given that she appeared to be in perfect health. They have been with her for the past 53 years, according to Elizabeth. Elizabeth stated that she and her father were the only members of the family that had these bumps when she was questioned if she was the only one. Her father seems to have a medical condition similar to hers. Dr Lee is unsure of where to start with such a complex case but respects Elizabeth's attitude in spite of how serious her circumstances are.

Dr Lee observes that Elizabeth's head has multiple bumps, but they are spaced out as if they were perched on a smaller base. As a result, when it sticks to her, it appears much bigger than it actually is. Elizabeth, according to Dr Lee, has a condition called Cylindromas. Cylindromas are innocuous given Elizabeth's general health, but they are usually linked to a genetic disease called Multiple Trichoepitheliomas, claims the doctor. Elizabeth's most severe case of extensive Cylindromas, however, is what has caused such cosmetic deformity. Dr Lee describes Cylindromas as solid benign growths. Since the lumps are pink and appear to have several blood veins running through them, it is challenging to treat. As a result, Dr Lee must remove the bumps without bleeding excessively, which will probably slow her down or make it impossible for her to continue.

Elizabeth is informed by Dr Lee that because her lumps are too large, they cannot be removed in a single session. Dr Lee begins the procedure by numbing the region while assisted by Val (who can aid her with translation). In a side interview, Dr Lee explains that Cylindromas are dome-shaped tumors; although they resemble cysts, they are simply solid masses that cannot be ruptured. The doctor wants Elizabeth's scalp to be cleansed, but they are directly on top of each other. She had to carefully mark off each individual stalk before attempting to cut them off one at a time.

Dr Lee's top priority was to control the bleeding because the scalp is highly vascular and tends to bleed readily. She at first has trouble getting rid of the lumps where it is really dense. It was more difficult for the doctor to see behind the one that was directly above her ear since it was so jammed. Dr Lee continues to de-bulk it to examine the underlying structure. She cauterizes simultaneously using a loop of cautery to reduce bleeding. After removing the second lump, Dr Lee stops since the procedure is causing excessive bleeding.

Elizabeth's original wounds healed up fairly well and didn't bleed excessively after a few months. For the purpose of removing more of those large Cylindromas, Dr Lee brought her back to the office. The second treatment went rather well, and Dr Lee is certain that Elizabeth will look much better after the spots heal.

Elizabeth says that everything went smoothly during her most recent operation, which was two months ago. She finally experienced no pain as the bumps on her head were removed. She can now put on earrings and sleep easily on her left side.
