Update on Recent Hollywood Township Crash

Authorities have released the names of those involved in a two-vehicle crash in Hollywood Township earlier this week.

You may remember that six people were injured around 1:45 PM on Sunday, August 14th, when a car that was southbound on Carver County Road 21 apparently ran a stop sign at the intersection with County Road 20 and collided with an eastbound vehicle. Officials say the eastbound car did not have stop sign.

Carver County Sheriff Jason Kamerud says the driver of the southbound car was 23-year-old Chad Zellmann of Norwood Young America. He and a passenger, 20-year-old Carmen Grangroth of Waverly were both treated and released from the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Two passengers in the eastbound vehicle, a 15-year-old female from Watertown Township and a 17-year-old female from Dassel were treated and released at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. The driver of the eastbound car, a 16-year-old female from Kimball, and a third passenger, a 15-year-old female from Cokato were critically injured and were airlifted to HCMC in Minneapolis. Both remain hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office and the State Patrol.
