"paralyze" You expect an energy crisis in Europe for years

The head of the international oil and gas company Royal Dutch Shell, Ben van Beurden, said that European countries will face gas shortages for several winters in light of the reduction in gas supplies from Russia.

“It is very likely that we will see several winters where we will have to somehow find solutions,” he said at a press conference in Norway on Monday.

Regarding the global oil market, Bearden indicated that the market is facing an excess of demand over supply, and this will continue for some time.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the need to strengthen energy sovereignty in Europe and reform the energy market in the European Union.

Over the years, Russia has proven its credibility as a gas supplier, and in 2021 Russia exported about 155 billion cubic meters of gas to European countries, which is about 35% of its needs, but this year supplies have decreased in light of Western sanctions imposed on Moscow.
