Pack the earplugs — it’s going to be more than a little loud in the metro area this weekend.

Some of rock’s loudest and proudest will populate venues on all sides of town during the next few days, providing plenty of decibels per dollar. Among the heaviest hitters will be:

• Detroit hard rock quartet Kambridge celebrates the release of a new CD as part of Megafest on Friday, Sept. 23 at the Diesel Concert Lounge, 33151 23 Mile Road, Chesterfield Township.
