John Mellencamp to play 2 shows at Cleveland's Connor Palace in May of 2023

Mellencamp will perform in Cleveland on May 25-26, 2023. Tickets will go on sale on October 7.

CLEVELAND — If you missed seeing John Mellencamp during his recent fan event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, don't worry. The music legend is making another stop in Cleveland.

During his swing through the Rock Hall, Mellencamp announced he will be on the road for a 76-show tour through the U.S. in 2023. The tour will begin in Mellencamp's native state of Indiana on February 5, with a roll through Cleveland for two shows on May 25-26 at the Connor Palace at Playhouse Square.

Tickets go on sale to select groups, including Citi cardholders, members of Mellencamp's mailing list and those who subscribe to the Turner Classic Movie newsletter, starting Oct. 4. VIP packages also go on sale on that date.

The general public can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 7, which is Mellencamp's 71st birthday. The complete list of tour dates and ticket information is available on Mellencamp's website

The Rock Hall's Legends of Rock expansion to include Mellencamp now spans four floors with artifacts from Prince, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springsteen, The Roots, Jimi Hendrix and many more.

Here’s what the Rock Hall says about the new Mellencamp additions:

Museum goers can expect to see artifacts including the suit worn in promotional photos for Mellencamp’s 2003 album Trouble No More, his 1976 Fender Telecaster Custom guitar played onstage extensively and the studio tracking chart for “Jack and Diane” from 1981, a guitar gifted to Mellencamp by David Bowie, and also representing his art will be an oil painting by Mellencamp himself, Backbone (2022).

Mellencamp was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.
