and on Wednesdays, we wear pink and today we are also making *** splash. We want to try this one more time ford hatchet, can you hear me now at the Carolina classic fair? I'm going to guess it's because there's water everywhere and our technology doesn't like it. We know we can hear you, it's just all the water in my ear from the dunk tank earlier today, I think I was clogged up *** little bit. We can hear you now though, it's been *** perfect day out of the fair. I'm joined by DJ Hargrave whose event and branding at the fairgrounds and DJ, it's not just the Dunk Tank, but there's *** lot going on. There's *** lot going on today. We have price controls presented financial, highly perishable food items closing at 11 p.m. Tonight october 9th This coming sunday part, we've all been waiting for all of us that have been in the dunk tank have been waiting for this moment. DJ is actually gonna throw our very own Laney Pope who is still sitting in the booth right now. I want to check in with Laney before we get started Now, Laney you were talking *** lot while all of us were out in the booth earlier. Now that you're in the booth, you've gotten *** little quieter. How are you feeling? I do have *** nice cup of coffee that has been giving me which has helped *** lot of really having *** great time coming out here and there and usually by the third one down, is that *** challenge for DJ here if he doesn't get in the first couple of goodness. Alright well let's see what we got. Here we go. Oh I got it. Just not hard enough. There she goes right down. All right, thank you. Laney will be out here until seven o'clock while she gets up and gets her coffee. D. J. Thank you so much. Great throw. We're expecting *** good day here like you said, Laney will still be out here until seven p.m. You can get out here and dunk her *** couple more times. We're all rooting for it.

WXII 12 News team made a splash in the Carolina Classic Fair dunk tank on Wednesday. Six of WXII's finest signed up to be soaked in efforts to help raise donations for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The event raises money to support breast cancer research and programs.To donate or sign up for the walk, visit the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer website.Thanks to the generous donations, you helped raise a total of $1,307.75!Our very own Lanie Pope, Christine Cruz, Audrey Biesk, Jackie Pascale, Maria DeBone and Ford Hatchett were at the fair to be doused for the good cause.In-person cash donations were $1,255, with $52,75 donated online. The American Cancer Society is grateful to everyone who participated!
