Topping the list of Kmart’s most popular and loved items is the store’s range of air fryers, closely followed by its Hot Water Dispenser and $6.50 cult Pull Chopper kitchen buy.

Of the store’s “worst” products, many nominated Kmart’s cordless stick vacuum cleaner as being the “worst thing ever” - along with the Automatic Hand Soap Dispenser, which some claimed “never worked”.

Other Facebook users found the poll far too hard to take part in - given that there were so many Kmart products to love.

“Probably be like asking who is your favourite child? Kmart has good things all of the time. Too hard to pick one thing,” said one on the Kmart Hacks & Decor page.

Here’s a rundown of what Kmart fans had to say.

Best Kmart buys

  • “Anything collapsible for camping trips.”

Worst Kmart buys

  • “The $89 better than a Dyson vacuum cleaner that almost went up in flames. It was the heaviest, most cumbersome cleaner I ever tried to use, so I was happy to have a legitimate reason to take it back and get a refund.”
  • “Scrunch bum leggings. Definitely not squat proof. And on a day I wore a G-string first squat and they ripped right up the clacker.”
  • “Soap dispenser that loved chewing batteries and never worked properly and a coffee grinder that wouldn’t grind coffee.”
  • “An alarm clock that came with no instructions on how to set time or the alarm.”
  • “Hand stick Vacuum. Glad to have my LG hand stick these days.”
  • “Automatic hand soap dispenser that never work and 99% of people had to take them back.”
  • “The bathroom suction shelves are legit the worst.”
  • “My mum purchased a digital clock radio that only gave out static noise needless to say it was returned for a full refund.”
  • “Kmart rugs. I swear by the end of the month you are left, with a tiny piece of material that’s just enough for you to put in your pocket. Due to the shredding.”
  • “The electric soap dispensers, you have to continue to put your hand under it for the soap to dispense through the long straw, it takes about 40-plus times putting your hand under every single time you use it such a waste.”
  • “Suction cup shower wall caddy. The thing was cursed, like clockwork at 3am it would fall down with a bang and make me almost wet the bed with fright.”
