Belectric bags 53-MWp Dutch solar EPC job from Low Carbon

German solar developer Belectric has secured a deal from UK renewables company Low Carbon Investment Management Ltd to build 53 MWp of photovoltaic (PV) parks in the Netherlands.

Specifically, Belectric will construct four solar farms in three provinces, consisting of more than 88,000 modules in total, it said on Tuesday.

The largest plant, of 26.7 MWp in size, will be installed in the northern province of Groningen and will be coupled with a battery storage facility. In Overijssel, in the eastern part of the Netherlands, Belectric will build a 7.4-MWp solar park, while in the central province of Utrecht it will install PV plants with capacities of 10.3 MWp and 8.7 MWp, respectively. One of the projects in Utrecht will be used as a test site for an agrivoltaic system.

Belectric, part of energy service provider Elevion Group, develops, builds and operates solar parks and has already installed more than 4 GW of capacity worldwide. Earlier this year, the German firm brought online three Dutch solar farms, it noted.
