Historical Society of Woodstock’s Holiday Market Fair opens Dec. 3

WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — The Historical Society of Woodstock will host its annual Holiday Market Fair on Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 3 and 4, and 10 and 11, at 20 Comeau Drive.

The sale will be run each day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The society’s exhibition space will be transformed into a Holiday Fair reminiscent of earlier times. The space will feature the work of local artists, potters, weavers and jewelry makers. All of those items will be on sale Also on sale will be homemade jams, maple syrup and baked goods. In addition, local vendors from last year will be returning with some new additions.

As always, hot cider will be available for everyone, and holiday greens will be the society’s gift to attendees.

Visitors will also find holiday gift cards, ornaments and wreaths. The society’s bookshop will have an array of local authors and local history. In addition, author John Barry will be on hand on Dec. 3
from 1to 3 p.m. to sign copies of his book, “Levon Helm: Rock * Roll * Ramble,” with an
introduction by Ringo Starr.

On Dec.10 from 1 to 3 p.m., local historians Janine Fallon-Mower and Richard Heppner will join the Market Fair to sign copies of their books including “Legendary Locals of Woodstock,” “One Marine’s Story,” and “Woodstock’s Infamous Murder Trial – Early Racial Injustice in Upstate New York.”
