Embraer has announced that an “undisclosed airline” has ordered five E195-E2 aircraft to support the carrier with its “exciting new plans for future growth”, the Brazilian manufacturer said in a recent statement.  

The manufacturer said that four aircraft will be delivered to the airline by the end of 2023, with the customer receiving the final aircraft in early 2024.  

“The list price value of the contract is US$389.4 million, which will be added to Embraer’s Q4 backlog,” Embraer said.   

Embraer has delivered a total of 79 aircraft (27 commercial and 52 executive) in 2022, according to an earlier statement released by the manufacturer on November 7, 2022.    

During the third quarter of 2022 (Q3), the Brazilian manufacturer delivered 33 jets, 10 of which were commercial planes and 23 were executive, the statement added. Embraer also highlighted that the volume of its Q3 deliveries was 10% higher compared to the 30 jets (nine commercial and 21 executive jets) delivered in the same period in 2021.  

Embraer’s most recent customers for its E195-E2s include TUI Group and SalamAir.  

On November 23, 2022, the manufacturer announced that TUI Group would take delivery of three E195-E2 from AerCap on long-term lease in the first half of 2023.  

In October 2022, Embraer also revealed that Oman-based SalamAir had signed a firm order for six aircraft, with purchase rights for a further six. Deliveries to SalamAir will be made from the end of 2023.
