One person killed after being struck by vehicle in Hooksett

TEMPERATURES? WE’LL LOOK AT THAT IN THE FULL COMING UP. WE BEGIN WITH NEWS OUT OF HOOKSETT AT THIS HOUR. JUST OVER AN HOUR AGO, POLICE ANNOUNCED A PEDESTRIAN WAS KILLED IN A CRASH ON HOOKSETT ROAD. OFFICIALS SAY THE 72 YEAR OLD WAS CROSSING THE ROAD WHEN HE WAS STRUCK SHORTLY BEFORE 10:00 LAST NIGHT NEAR THE INTERSTATE 93 OVERPASS. HE WAS BROUGHT TO A HOSPITAL BUT DIED FROM HIS INJURIES. THE DRIVER OF THAT CAR ALSO TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL IN THIS SECTION OF HOOK

Officials said a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Hooksett Road in Hooksett.The incident happened just before 10 p.m. Friday night near the highway overpass. Investigators said a 72-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was also hospitalized, but did not have any injuries. A portion of the road was closed until about 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officials said a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Hooksett Road in Hooksett.
