Saturday

Rock: During the late ’70s, the rock band Cheap Trick released the teen anthem "Surrender" about relations between teenagers and their parents, which leads the narrator to believe his parents are actually cooler than he imagined them to be. The song was a commercial success, and has since appeared in many films and been covered by several bands.

In 1978, Cheap Trick recorded one of the bestselling live albums of all time, "Cheap Trick at Budokan." 20 million albums and over 5,000 shows later, the band is still going strong and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. The lineup still features original members Rick Nielsen (guitar), Robin Zander (vocals) and Tom Petersson (bass) with Nielsen's son Daxx on drums.
