If there’s one thing I’ve learnt about shopping, it’s that going in blind is rarely a good idea — which is why, before even looking at the sales, you need to do your research. I recommend not hitting the shops or scrolling through your favourite sites until you’ve drawn up a hit list of the brands you like and are sure of what suits you. The same goes for items. That way you will come away feeling like you’ve won at life and not committed the majority of your January pay packet to a lilac tutu that seemed like a good idea at the time but will never see the light of day again.
