The Portland Trail Blazers have three very winnable home games coming up starting Wednesday night with the Utah Jazz.
However, the Jazz, Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks all probably view their upcoming matchups with the struggling Blazers as imminently winnable as well.
The Blazers have struggled mightily in such games for several weeks now which is why they sit in 12th place in the Western Conference.
To get out of that hole, they must start securing consecutive victories and after winning Monday over San Antonio, the Blazers will be seeking their second two-game winning streak since the middle of December.
The Jazz, however, will be a problem. After experiencing their own swoon while losing seven out of eight games to fall to 20-23, Utah has since won five out of seven to get back to .500.
During that stretch, the Jazz shot 47.1% from the field and 37.9% on threes while averaging 117.6 points per game. Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen appeared in five of those games, averaging 26.8 points and 12.4 rebounds for contest.
The Blazers lost their first meeting with the Jazz, 118-113 on Nov. 19 at home. On Dec. 3, the Blazers shocked Utah with a 116-111 win on the road while playing without Damian Lillard, Josh Hart, Justise Winslow, Nassir Little and Gary Payton II.
That victory started a stretch of winning six out of eight for the Blazers.
