Trump Has a Huge Plan for His Return to Twitter and It’s as Ridiculous as He Is

Truth Social has never quite transmogrified into the social media blockbuster that Devin Nunes, chief executive of Trump Media & Technology Group predicted it would become, and now it looks like former President Donald Trump will soon begin frightening people on Twitter again, and with that Truth Social will go bye-bye, Indy100 reports.

And Trump, being the giant narcissist that he is wants a lot of fanfare when he returns to Twitter. He wants all the fanfare of a WWE main event. As I reported earlier this week, and as Rolling Stone now reports, it looks like Trump will be dumping Truth Social and doesn’t plan to sign a new contract with them for media exclusivity. The current contract is set to expire in June.

A statement between the two parties purports that Trump must post all of his social media communications before he is allowed to post on other social media platforms six hours later. Of course, Trump doesn’t like to be told what to do so that’s probably a sticking point for him.

While Trump was banned from Facebook and Twitter after the January 6 2021 Capitol insurrection, he’s now preparing his return since Elon Musk reinstated his account last November.

But Trump being Trump, there’s just no way he’ll make a quiet comeback, and per the Rolling Stone article, one idea his team is looking at is the possibility of “a slickly made WWE-style campaign video,” that would be posted on (where else?) Twitter. But there’s also scuttlebutt that his first tweet will be one that insults President Joe Biden or perhaps one in which he’s portrayed as Superman — I suppose kind of like his silly trading cards.

Of course, we don’t really know if this will happen, but if it did this would be entirely too typical of him. And it would make sense because Trump is well-connected in the WWE world, especially as he was one of the main characters during the company’s Wrestlemania 23 event in 2007 when he even wrestled with the company’s owner Vince McMahon. And of course, as you might expect, Trump has used this for his own political gain, when he pretended he was beating up CNN.

He’s probably reveling at this moment because he can’t stand being ignored and now he’s getting the attention he craves.

Typical.
