Premier moves to protect rights of women in entertainment industry

Spokesperson for the CPP Sok Eysan stated that women who work in entertainment services across the country will receive a defence lawyer from Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Eysan said that during the Extraordinary Congress of the CPP, the Prime Minister recommended the establishment of lawyers to protect the rights of women in the entertainment industry in case they suffer abuse or violence.

The spokesman added that the person in charge of the above work is Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An, Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations.

The spokesman emphasized that the provision of defense lawyers to the entertainment service workers was also to promote and strengthen the work of the informal economic sector in Cambodia.
