Jaime Diaz, over at Golf Digest, described American professional golfer, Tiger Woods, as carrying himself “with a peaceful but powerful sense that he was bound for great things.” No shame in admitting one of the first thoughts we get upon hearing the man’s name attached to terms like “powerful” and “great things” is, “What kind of car does Tiger Woods drive?”

After all, we’re talking about a golfer whose major victories include five Masters Tournaments, four PGA Championships, three U.S. Open Championships, and three British Open Championships. Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods became the first-ever golfer to hold all four professional major championships at the same time after winning his second Masters Tournament in 2001.

He famously crashed and rolled his 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV, after crashing it into a tree at an estimated 87 mph. Woods returned to the PGA Tour for the first time since the car crash at the 2022 Masters, but the Genesis GV80 had no such luck. No matter. According to Forbes, Tiger Woods has an estimated net worth of around $1 billion spanning various assets, including an extensive luxury car collection. Let’s check it out.

Between the 2008 and 2017 model years, the Buick Enclave was a full-size C-SUV available in CX and CXL trim levels. Like the CX trim, Tiger Woods’ Enclave CXL came with a standard seven-passenger seating configuration courtesy of a second-row of captain's chairs and a third-row bench seat.

An optional second-row bench seat that increased the seating capacity to eight was also available at no extra charge. Woods' Enclave eventually got auctioned with a "buy it now" price of $100,000, insane for a car Tiger paid roughly $35,000 to take home in 2008. No, the Enclave was not involved in Tiger Woods’ accident, although the famous athlete has had a scary few.

As stated, the man has had scary few. Tiger's car accidents include the November 27, 2009, incident that saw him crash his black Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant, then a tree, and several hedges near his Florida mansion.

British newspaper, The Sun, reported that the accident knocked out the famous golfer. His then-wife, model Elin Nordegren, rescued him by breaking the windows with a golf club. The Sun reported that paramedics found Woods snoring without any socks or shoes on. Interestingly, Woods got busted for repeatedly cheating on Elin not long after his Cadillac Escalade accident.

If you’ve been wondering, “what kind of car does Tiger Woods drive?” This Mercedes-Benz S-Class full-size sedan answers that question. It’s understandable for one of the richest athletes in the modern world to have a taste for luxury. Edmunds affirmed that “the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a step above other elite full-size luxury sedans in terms of refinement, technology, and luxury, while the coupe version is every bit its two-door equal. It is truly one of the world's finest automobiles.”

7 Lamborghini Murcielago

Tiger Woods' car collection is almost all-American, with several Buicks and a Cadillac. So, it’s a notable deviation from the roomy American cars to a $302,000 orange-colored Lamborghini Murcielago sports car.

Nothing stops a fast-rising millionaire golfer from taking home a 6.5-liter V12 Lambo that screams from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds. You may have heard reports that Woods has never driven his Lamborghini Murcielago. We’ve heard that one too.

6 2001 Buick Bengal

We've also heard that Buick designed the Bengal roadster with Tiger Woods in mind. Well, it makes sense because Buick and Woods enjoyed a nine-year-long business relationship before his many scandals and a messy divorce cost him several such sponsorships. Well, not before Buick gifted him the four-passenger sports concept car in 2001, featuring voice-activated controls and an unworthy supercharged 3.4-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Lexus gets considered the luxury version of Toyota models. For example, the Lexus ES versus the Toyota Camry, the Lexus IS versus the Toyota Corolla, the Lexus NX versus the Toyota RAV4, and so on. Likewise, Tiger Woods' Lexus LS 460 is as expensive as it is one of the most reliable luxury sedans out there. The interior was ahead of its peers and featured a beyond-impressive list of innovative tech. It's a flagship car and a luxury badge for Toyota.

4 Porsche Carrera GT

The Carrera GT is probably the most powerful car Tiger Woods ever laid hands on. The man was smart enough to return it to the dealership after losing control and finding himself in the grass near his house the very first time he got behind the wheel.

ESPN senior writer Wright Thompson penned this, “Once he [Tiger Woods] bought a Porsche Carrera GT, similar to the one driven by many celebrities, but one of the first times he got behind the wheel, the powerful car got away from him, spinning off into the grass near his house. He took it back to the dealership.” Remember, Paul Walker died in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT.

While the sweet romance between Tiger Woods and Buick lasted, the golfer received more than one concept car from the GM-owned brand, including the Bengal and Velite roadster. Designed by Gruppo Beltone, Buick introduced the Velite at the 2004 New York International Auto Show, roughly two years after unveiling the Bengal roadster that never made the production line.

Apparently, Tiger Woods continued to feature in Buick ads four years after they announced a mutual breakup. For the 2012 model year, Buick introduced an electrified model of the LaCrosse with the uncanny name "eAssist."

The 2012 model also received a more powerful V6 engine and revised trim levels. Edmunds wrote that the 2012 Buick LaCrosse was “a fully competitive luxury sedan that doesn’t nip at the heels of the big dogs, but instead can now run with the pack.” The LaCrosse was the last of its kind, as the company now focused on its SUV lineup.

1 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV

If you’re still wondering what happened to Tiger Woods or Tiger Woods' car accident, well, you have to be more specific about which car and which accident exactly. There was the 2009 accident in the black Cadillac. A similar scenario played out in 2017 when cops found Woods passed out behind the wheel of his Mercedes in Florida.

He got charged with DUI and tested positive for several substances in his blood, including Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien, and THC in his system. Notably, the cops said Woods appeared to have been in a minor accident before they found him passed out in the car.

However, the most serious of these string of automobile accidents happened on the morning of February 23, 2021. Tiger Woods cheated death after veering off a California road and flipping several times in a high-speed crash that left him with serious injuries and damage to his Genesis GV80 hybrid C-SUV. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at the time that the World Golf Hall of Famer was “lucky to be alive.”
