Audi has just presented its new concept car, the Activesphere, to the world. This is an absolutely innovative vehicle, able to take a different shape according to the needs of the driver. This can be an SUV, it can be a coupe, or it can even become a pickup truck. Amazing, right? Yeah, too bad it’s a concept car, so it doesn’t really exist.

However, this beauty is useful to show the public the direction that Audi has taken. As has happened in the past for other manufacturers, over the years, we will certainly see features from the Activesphere concept in the future models of the German brand. Seeing this vehicle, it came naturally to think about the Tesla Cybertruck and how much Audi’s "Transformer" has surprised us in many ways.

Audi Activesphere Has A Cutting-Edge Design That Will Be Imitated By Many

It’s impossible to deny it. Among all the features of the wonderful Audi Activesphere, the design is definitely the most eye-catching. We’ve already said that this is futuristic, quite different from the cars we see every day. Its body is characterized by soft and elegant lines, without forgetting the aerodynamics. In fact, this is made of aluminum, just to be light and thus offer better performance. The front grille immediately hits the viewer, being made of glass and allowing them to take a look inside the car. This also impresses with its integrated LED lights and LED headlights.

The back is long and low, and this is where the real miracle happens. The car, in fact, can change shape according to road conditions. Thanks to its modular shape, the rear can be extended, allowing the vehicle to become from a coupe to an SUV. Additionally, the rear section can be extended further, and the tailgate can be lowered to create a flatbed cargo area, and here’s your pickup truck. Pretty cool, uh?

Talking about the futuristic design, you can’t help but mention the Tesla Cybertruck. This is, in fact, very much in contrast to the Audi Activesphere. The geometric lines of the Cybertruck are a gamble. There are those who love them and those who hate them, so we cannot say that Tesla conceived it to please everyone. The Activesphere, on the other hand, seems to put all enthusiasts in agreement, at least on design.

When we talk about geometric lines, then, we immediately understand that these are not the best in terms of aerodynamics. Audi’s concept car, however, as we have already said, pays a lot of attention to this factor, and we can say quite frankly that the aesthetic aspect also benefits from it. Of course, this is futuristic, but surely our eyes are more used to something like this than the Cybertruck. For this reason, we must give Tesla a round of applause for its courage and desire to be innovative, even for taking some risks.

It is also true, though, that the Activesphere can change shape and, consequently, significantly vary the driving experience. This feature is not to be underestimated because performance is also involved in this process. Someone will say that Audi plays easy since this is a concept car, and it’s not meant to be real. Yet, none of us have gotten our hands on Tesla’s Cybertruck yet. Musk’s company claims that this will go into production in 2024. But its release continues to be postponed year after year. So, at least for now, we’re talking about two vehicles that don’t really exist.

Even looking inside these two cars, we realize how the atmosphere changes significantly. The inside of the Activesphere makes the feeling of being in the future very much. At the same time, it makes us feel pampered thanks to the attention given to elements of luxury and comfort.

The interior is spacious, the seats are leather and can be heated, and thanks to the windows and the panoramic roof, it will almost seem to be inside a glass sphere that allows you to see everything around. This car’s interior is supposed to show what future Audi models could be like when self-driving technology is fully-developed. In fact, the steering wheel is hidden, and it will show the driver on request via a folding panel.

On the other hand, the interior of the Tesla Cybertruck is something to which we are more accustomed, simply futuristic and minimal. The materials used by the Elon Musk company want to be durable, more than luxurious. It also has a solar panel on the roof, and this is an appealing feature. The infotainment system is functional and designed to be simple, unlike Audi's, which wants to represent the future of the automotive industry.

In conclusion, these two vehicles are innovative and very interesting. We have no hope of seeing the Activesphere on the market, and we do not want to lose it regarding the Tesla Cybertruck that, Musk promises, sooner or later, will tread the streets of the world.
