William R. Curts, 90, of Anderson, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at his home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Gaston, Indiana, to Carol and Margaret (Wells) Curts. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran having been in the 101st Airborne. He retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1983 after 32 years service.
Bill was a member of the UAW Local 662, the Pendleton American Legion Post 117 and the Tri-County Golf Club. He enjoyed all sports especially golfing and boating. Bill enjoyed coaching his son's Little League baseball teams and was an avid Indiana University and Chicago Bears fan.
Bill is survived by sons, Jeff Curts of Pendleton, Michael (Sara Fleury) Curts of Indianapolis; son-in-law, Michael Eacret of Markleville; grandchildren, Tucker Curts, Connor Curts, Erin Eacret and Paige Collins; great-granddaughter, Katherine Collins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Wills) Curts; daughter, Cathy Eacret; his parents listed above; and siblings, Betty Staines, Jim Curts and Ronnie Curts.
A funeral to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
