Lanarkshire motorists are urged to plan ahead as the A725 northbound carriageway between the Raith and Bellziehill junctions is set to close overnight on two consecutive nights at the end of the month.

The road will be closed on March 30 and 31 for essential carriageway resurfacing works, between the off-slip road to the A7071 near both junctions on the slip road from 8pm to 6am.

The overnight closures are required "to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst essential road resurfacing works are undertaken".
