The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $86 million, with a cash option of $46.3 million.
The winning numbers were: 1, 27, 32, 47 and 67. The Powerball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 2X.
While no one across the country hit Saturday’s $77.1 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was sold in at BP gas station on the 1600 block of Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, lottery officials in that state said.
In New Jersey, no one won more than $200 with a single ticket.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 14, 20, 30, 54 and 69. The Powerball drawn was 11 with a Power Play of 2X.
In addition, no one hit the secondary $10 million Double Play drawing on Saturday. Those winning numbers were: 21, 30, 34, 57 and 59. The Double Play Ball ball drawn was 8.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $272 million with a cash option of $146.5 million jackpot.
