India records 1805 new Covid cases; mock drill on April 10

Shillong, March 27: The number of Coronavirus infections continued to rise in India on Monday, with the nation reporting 1805 new cases, according to the most recent data provided by Union Ministry for Health. The number of active cases has surpassed 10,000 with the addition of new infections.

In light of the increasing cases, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan will meet via video conference with senior authorities and state health secretaries this evening to examine Covid-19 readiness.

Health facilities from across the country are expected to participate in a nationwide mock drill scheduled for April 10–11. The discussion today will cover specifics of the mock drill.

Weekly positivity rate was estimated to be 1.39 percent, whereas the daily positivity was 3.19 percent.

According to the ministry, the percentage of infections that are still active is currently 0.02 percent, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.79 percent.

With 932 further recoveries, the total number of patients who have recovered from the illness has increased to 4,41,64,815.
