According to a report, Beaufort County, which includes the famous resort area of Hilton Head Island, is home to the richest people in South Carolina. Residents in Beaufort County are home to the famous Hilton Head Island and have a median household income of $74,199, which is significantly higher than the state’s median household income of $61,770 (9/23 FRED).
