What a finale on day three of the Hong Kong Sevens.

In the women’s competition, New Zealand faced old rivals Australia at 7.40pm, in a showdown most people predicted. And the Kiwis triumphed with a hard-fought 26-17 win.

Then, in the men’s Cup final, New Zealand made it a double delight, stunning Fiji with a first-half onslaught that proved too much for the perennial favourites to overcome.

Hong Kong’s men, meanwhile, triumphed in the Shield final against Canada, ending the weekend with two big wins that sent So Kon Po into a frenzy.
