New Delhi: The death toll in the horrific Odisha triple train tragedy rose to 261 on Saturday, while around 1,000 others also sustained injuries. Relief and rescue operations are still underway.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reached the Odisha train accident site in Balasore to take stock of the rescue operation. He was accompanied by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Vaishnaw briefed the Prime Minister about the details of the rescue operation. Kannada Actor Nithin Gopi Passes Away At 39 Due To Heart Attack
Kannada actor Nithin Gopi is no more. The Punar Vivaha actor reportedly passed away due to a heart attack on Friday night. He was only 39. Nithin reportedly breathed his last while being rushed to the hospital after experiencing chest pains at his residence in Ittamadu, Bengaluru. He did not respond to treatment and was declared dead by the doctors. Odisha Train Accident: Supervisor Says Signalling Error May Have Caused Coromandel Express Mishap | EXCLUSIVE
The tragic derailment of the Coromandel Express and two other trains in Odisha's Balasore has left 261 people dead and raised several questions over the possible cause of the mishap and if and how it could have been averted. 21 coaches of the Coromandel Express and 2 coaches of the other train derailed, leading to hundreds of deaths. There were about 1257 reserved passengers on Coromandel Express and 1030 reserved passengers were onboard the Yesvantpur Express. As per the preliminary report submitted to the Ministry of Railways by the supervisors on the field, signalling error may have played a role in the mishap which killed 261 people and injured 900 others.
