A huge haul of cannabis plants have been seized by police following a drugs bust in Shropshire. Drugs with an estimated street value of a whopping £1million were found by cops in Wellington, Telford.

The discovery was made at a disused premises in the town, police have said. And following the bust, two men have been arrested.

Cops shared news of the cannabis factory on Twitter, and added that officers from the force's safe neighbourhood team made the discovery. They said that the drugs farm was found on Friday, June 2.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Cannabis plants with a street value of approximately 1 million pounds were discovered at a disused premises in Wellington town centre on Friday.

"Officers from the towns Safe Neighbourhood Team made the discovery following the execution of a warrant. 2 x men have been arrested."
