Trib wins 30 Keystone Media Awards

The Tribune-Review won 30 Keystone Media Awards this year from the Pennsylvania News Media Association.

The awards “reinforce excellence by individuals in the news media profession, by recognizing journalism that consistently provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers and audiences, and faithfully fulfills its First Amendment rights (and) responsibilities,” the News Media Association wrote on its site.

“The Keystone Awards have always been a tremendous honor for our reporters, photographers, designers and editors,” said Luis Fabregas, the Trib’s executive editor. “I’m proud of the work they do and confident they will continue to create stories and images that make a difference in our communities. We are extremely grateful for the recognition.”

Awards will be presented during the Keystone Media Awards Luncheon in Harrisburg in November.

The Tribune-Review won 30 awards in the Division II — Multi-day Publications division, which includes outlets with a circulation between 20,000 and 49,999.

Trib staff were recognized in categories ranging from news beat reporting and columns to sports reporting photos.
