Hulu has carved out its place as a major player in the streaming industry with a combination of original series and established classics. Its relationship with both ABC and FX allows it to show network and cable shows that other streamers don’t have access to, creating a large library for fans of any genre. Hulu has anime, reality TV, drama, and comedy, and is continuously adding to its collection. These are five shows coming to Hulu in July that you’ll want to watch. Here’s what’s new on Hulu!

Futurama (1999)

Futurama
tv-14 9 Seasons
Genre Animation, Action & Adventure, Comedy, Sci-Fi & Fantasy
Cast Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal
Created by Matt Groening

Adult animation fans have been waiting quite a while for the triumphant return of one of the most unique, cult classic comedies in the history of the FOX network. Futurama is little bit of The Simpsons, but with a lot of science fiction twists and satirical romps through the future. (Not to mention, one of the saddest scenes in television history.) The show has been off the air for a decade, but new episodes should satisfy fans starting on July 24 on Hulu.

The Jewel Thief (2023)

The Jewel Thief
Genre Documentary
Directed by Landon Van Soest

Nothing gets the juices pumping during the summer like a true crime thriller, except maybe a first-hand account of the crimes. Hulu has you covered with this movie about the heists pulled off by Canadian convict Gerard Blanchard, famous for stealing the Star of Empress Sisi. Blanchard shares some of his experiences as a jewel thief and spills the secrets of his hidden ways.

What We Do in the Shadows (2019)

What We Do in the Shadows

Genre Comedy
Cast Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou
Created by Jemaine Clement

One of the best supernatural TV series of the past decade, What We Do in the Shadows is entering its fifth season on July 13 with an abundance of energy and storylines still at its disposal. The vampire family at the heart of the series is interesting and funny at the same time, offering a different look at family life than what we are used to in similar mockumentaries like Modern Family or The Office

Justified: City Primeval (2023)

Justified: City Primeval

Genre Crime, Drama
Cast Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Boyd Holbrook

Timothy Olyphant returns for this new miniseries in the Justified universe on July 18. Raylan Givens will adventure to Detroit this time around to battle The Oklahoma Wildman, a terrorizing force who has eluded the law enforcement of the area. (Givens will use his brash skillset to take care of the situation in his own manner, I’m sure.)

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

Bohemian Rhapsody
135m
Genre Music, Drama, History
Stars Rami Malek, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy
Directed by Bryan Singer

This award-winning film about the journey of the band Queen throughout the 1980s gives you entertaining insight into the most creative and outlandish pop group of the decade. Freddie Mercury is played with aplomb by Rami Malek, a performance that won him an Oscar.

The 12 best Jeff Bridges movies, ranked
The Dude has a long and storied career to celebrate
Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski

Actor, writer, and producer of film and music, Jeff Bridges is a household name that any movie lover should know. Born in true stardom fashion in L.A. to two already famous actors, Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges, Jeff still showed his worth as an actor by proving it time and time again. Starting at the young age of 17, Jeff had already featured as an extra in a few films and shows (some of his parents’ as well as others) before going out on his own to really get a taste for showbiz.
Pursuing his dreams never got in the way of his other life accomplishments though, like joining the Coast Guard right when he turned 18. Jeff strived to be a man of many talents. During his eight years of service, he landed his first breakout role in the timeless The Last Picture Show (we will get to that shortly), which was only the beginning of his long career in film.
As will be shown in our list today, Bridges took on countless roles that challenged him emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Some of which even helped him hone lifelong talents, musical and otherwise. Lots of people may think they know all of Bridges’ great films, but there are a few on this list that may surprise you and make you say “How could I, a great film fan, have possibly missed that one?.” We’re here to tell you: You’re not alone. Jeff took his acting talents to work with numerous different award-winning writers, directors, producers, and other actors over the years, which we’ve taken the time to rank. So here is our list of the top 10 best Jeff Bridges movies of all time.

The best Joaquin Phoenix movies, ranked
Joker

Joaquin Phoenix straddles the line between Hollywood headliner and obscure superstar. Hailing from a show business family littered with talented performers (such as the late River Phoenix), Joaquin loves to throw himself into the depths of morally gray characters who make grave decisions without the ability to react in a morally clear manner. His versatility allows him to play the sidekick or the lead, and his dedication to the craft of filmmaking always makes a Phoenix movie feel unique and on-brand.

Joaquin Phoenix will be back at the front of box office tickets later this year with the release of Joker 2. Before that sequel, fans should brush up on their favorite movies with him in the spotlight to truly appreciate his acting style. These are the best Joaquin Phoenix movies, from daring biopics to superhero adaptations with a wicked flair.
