‘Kyu Kiya Ye’, Fans React To Bhojpuri Song ‘Lollipop Lagelu’ Rock Version In Web Series UP 65

For the upcoming web series "UP 65," the popular Bhojpuri song "Lollipop Lagelu" has been remade.

With an original composition by Vinay Vinayak, Diptarka Bose sang and adapted the song.

As shown in the video posted by Jio Cinema, the rock rendition of the song can be heard playing while the performers lip-synch and play an electric guitar in the backdrop. The scene gives the impression of a collegiate ragging session. College students having fun off campus may also be seen in some B-roll footage.

Reacting to the song, one wrote, “Not interested.”

Another wrote, “Kyu kiya ye.”

A third added, “Aur jo bawaal ke liye ready nahi hain unke liye.. abey bhaiya ke chal.”

The Varanasi-based series 'UP 65' takes viewers on a charming and funny tour to the other side of student life at IIT Varanasi. It looks at the unnoticed aspects of student life at IIT Varanasi and offers a beautiful blend of enduring friendships, romantic romances, and the regular masti of the fascinating "geniuses" from rural India.

Nikhil Sachan, the author of the title book, modified the plot for the web series.

Talking about the recently released trailer, in the caravan, we get a taste of what it's like to be an engineering student. Writing, reading, lab work, and other activities resulted in campus exploration. Additionally, it gives us a glimpse into dorm life. We may also see a few guys dancing in skirts and tops in a later part in the video. Additionally, we see the guys dancing at concerts and drinking beer before later puking, which is how college life is typically experienced.

Sharing his excitement, Nikhil Sachan said, “I am thrilled that ‘UP 65’ will reach a much wider audience with the screen adaptation. Hoping that the show will receive the love the book has received. I am sure the show will take all of us back to our college days and make us relive the best days of our life.”

UP 65 is Nikhil Sachan's third original, following the amazing successes of Namak Swadanusar and Zindagi Aais Pais. Nikhil claims that the book is his way of giving back to Banaras and BHU for everything that they have done for him. The story revolves around Nishant, a student at IIT BHU, and how he finds love, friendship, and his life's purpose.

The show is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta (Fresh Lime Films) and is presented by Jio Studios. Gaganjeet Singh is the series' director. On June 8, the series will debut on Jio Cinema.
