Oklahoma Lottery officials said Tamara from Yukon claimed a $1 million winning prize just days after Christmas. They said Tamara was shocked to see her winning scratcher and had to confirm it with her mother, adding that "it didn't sink in until after claiming the Platinum Jackpot top prize at the Oklahoma Lottery Winner Center."
The winning Platinum Jackpot ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven on Reno Avenue in Oklahoma City. A news release says Tamara claimed her ticket on Wednesday while on her lunch break and was headed back to work when she was done.
Tamara told Oklahoma Lottery officials that she plans to take her mother on a cruise and then buy a new home in Florida for both of them to live.
The winning ticket was the first top prize claimed for Platinum Jackpot, meaning there are two remaining top prizes.
