Low Carbon has reached financial close on a 385MW portfolio of solar and storage projects in the UK.

The projects in the portfolio will enter construction in early 2024, as part of a wider +3GW pipeline of solar and battery projects in the UK.

EPC contractor Equans will construct the portfolio for Low Carbon through its subsidiary Bouygues Energy & Services, along with Elmya.

Trina has been selected to supply the projects’ battery storage systems.

The portfolio comprises 290MW of solar capacity.

Since 2022 Low Carbon has raised £2bn in finance to deliver its pipeline of projects.

Low Carbon CIO Steve Mack said the team is “particularly excited” to deliver 95MW of two-hour co-located battery storage assets as part of the portfolio.
