Spain's Elmya to execute 22.5-MWp solar project for Low Carbon in UK

Spanish solar contractor Elmya EPC has signed an agreement to design and build a solar farm with a capacity of around 22.51 MWp in the UK, the firm has announced.

The client is UK renewables company Low Carbon. Low Carbon hired Elmya to realise its Pattingham solar project, located near Birmingham.

Elmya will be in charge of executing all phases, including design, construction, commissioning and operation of the Pattingham solar farm, the Spanish contractor said on Wednesday.

The plant will have 17.5 MWac of inverter power and 15 MWac of point of interconnection (POI) power. It is expected to become operational by March 2025.
