LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Scholarship Lottery players came up big in drawings held Wednesday.

State lottery officials said a ticket for the Wednesday Powerball drawing is worth $1 million. The ticket was sold at the Flash Market on North Washington Street in Forrest City.

The lucky ticket matched all five white balls but not the Powerball. No one else in the country hit the big prize, either, pushing up the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing to an estimated $376 million.

There was another big prize ticket sold for Wednesday, this time on the state LOTTO game. The ticket sold at Good Spirits on Calella Road in Hot Springs Village is now worth $25,000.

ASL officials said three other LOTTO players each won $1,500 from Wednesday’s drawing, which paid out $44,279 in prizes to 2,965 winners. No one hit the LOTTO jackpot, lottery officials noted, meaning Saturday’s drawing could be worth $1.098 million.

In addition to these games, Arkansas lottery players could also try for Friday’s Mega Millions game, which currently has an estimated top prize of $525 million.

The biggest winners with these drawings are Arkansas students, who have received more than $1.3 billion through more than 720,000 scholarships from the program.
