A LAST-minute present turned into one woman's lottery victory, but the winner didn't keep all the money for herself.

Allison Hosheit said her boyfriend bought a $5 Lucky Lines Doubler instant ticket for her on Valentine's Day.

The holiday got even sweeter when she realized she was a US Lottery winner.

She won a whopping $25,000.

Since he got her the gift in the first place, she said she intends to split the prize with him.

"It doesn’t matter how much creativity and thought he puts into next year’s gift," Hosheit told Kansas Lottery chiefs.

"There’s no way he’ll be able to top this!"

GIFT GRAB

He bought the lucky scratch-off ticket at a gas station in Greensburg, according to lottery officials.

Hosheit said she was at home when her partner arrived with a gift for her.

"He definitely dropped the ball and forgot it was Valentine’s Day, so he had to get creative," she said.

He brought her a soda drink and the Kansas Lottery tickets.

He flexed that creativity by transforming the tickets into a wreath bouquet instead of a traditional flower one.

"It was sweet!" Hosheit said.

DOUBLE TAKE

The couple was sitting on a couch while she played the games and he scanned each ticket into PlayOn, a Kansas Lottery app.

And that's when they noticed one ticket said something "weird."

Initially, they found it hard to believe Hosheit's lotto winner status.

"We just kind of missed that the ticket was a big winner at first!"

But after double-checking the ticket more than once, it finally sunk in that Hosheit won $25,000.

She immediately wanted to rush over to The Kansas Lottery headquarters in Topeka.

The couple ended up waiting until the next morning to make the trip.

"Patience is hard sometimes!" she said.

Hosheit told Kansas Lottery officials they would use their winnings to help pay down outstanding debt.

She also mentioned they plan to splurge on some travels.

"It’s our two-year anniversary in March, so I am thinking we may take a trip this year given the circumstances," she said.

"Not sure where yet, but I’m already excited!"

MORE MONEY

As of February 21, Kansas Lottery chiefs said there are still three remaining $25,000 prizes for the Lucky Lines Doubler game.

But Kansas isn't the only state searching for lottery winners.

Arkansas residents should be on the lookout for a $1 million Powerball prize.

This ticket was bought at a gas station in Forrest City, about 93 miles east of Little Rock.

The player matched all five white balls in the Powerball drawing on February 21.

The numbers drawn were 4, 27, 33, 41, and 42 for the white balls and 14 for the 14.
