North Iowa Fundraisers This Weekend Help with Emergency Response

A variety of fundraising meals this weekend will help with responses in emergency situations.

The Floyd Volunteer Fire Department will host a drive-thru chicken dinner from 4:30 to 7 pm Saturday (03.09) evening. Meal includes three pieces of broasted chicken, plus sides, for $15 a person. Proceeds go towards the purchase of firefighting equipment. Tickets are available by calling 641-330-4950 or contacting Justin Murphy at Hog Slat in Charles City.

Jerico Jo’s, just east of Highway 63 about 10 miles north of New Hampton, will host its 3rd Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fundraiser Saturday night.  Proceeds benefit the Alta Vista Fire Department and Chickasaw County EMS. Sunday (03.10), the New Hampton’s Lions Club hosts its 52nd Annual Pancake and French Toast Breakfast in the New Hampton High School Cafeteria. This year’s proceeds will purchase “Stop the Bleed Emergency Supply Kits” to be donated to Little Sprouts Childcare Centers; New Hampton Community Schools; and St. Joe’s Community School. These kits will contain supplies needed in case of a traumatic event. 

Tickets are $8 in advance from any Lion Club member or $8.50 at the door. F
