From the sidelines: May, who is a Junior at Federal Way High School has been a pillar of resilience for our Federal Way Track and Field program. Austin is one of our team captains this year as he displays leadership, tenacity, and academic scholarship. Austin was part of our 2023 WIAA State Championship winning team running in the 4x100m relay. He would have qualified for the 100m, and the 200m but had to deal with a season limiting injury. Our coaching staff admired how Austin demonstrated tremendous composure and leadership by supporting his teammates while wanting to contribute more. This season, look for Austin to best his 100m time of 11.16 and 200m time of 23.15. He will compete at the prestigious Oregon Relay’s in Eugene Oregon in April and at our own Bill Harris Invitational on the 27th of April. We are so proud of him and excited to see his development this season.
