Pa. House passes bill requiring serial numbers on so-called ‘ghost guns’

The state House on Wednesday passed a bill to crack down on “ghost guns” by requiring that serial numbers be placed on home-built firearms.

The bill cleared the House 104-to-97, with all but one Democrat and three Republicans in support.

The measure faces long odds in the GOP-controlled Senate, whose leadership has said it is not interested in further gun regulation, even as House Democrats continue to push new firearms rules.
