Vestas Wins 37 MW Wind Power Project In Poland

Denmark based wind company Vestas received a firm order from Energa Green Development, a subsidiary of the ORLEN Group, for the Szybowice wind farm in Opolskie, Poland.

The order consisted of 17 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines in 2.2 MW power mode and included the supply, delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines. Upon completion, Vestas plans to service the turbines under a 25-year active output management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement designed to ensure optimized performance of the assets.

“We are very pleased to be working together with Energa Green Development, part of the ORLEN Group, on the Szybowice project,” says Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “Last year, we and ORLEN announced the collaboration for the Baltic Power Offshore Wind Farm, which was the first order for our V236-15.0MW wind turbine, and it is great to see this partnership continuing for an onshore project as well.”

Delivery of the turbine is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025 and commissioning is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
