Movies part of pre-eclipse events slated in Wapakoneta

WAPAKONETA — First on the Moon Inc. will host a family-friendly, triple feature of short films about journeys to space and to Wapakoneta.

The showings will take place starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Wapakoneta Middle School, 400 W. Harrison St., Wapakoneta. Admission is free.

The triple feature is a kick-off to Wapakoneta’s pre-eclipse weekend activities and events.

The opening film will be the 14-minute 1902 classic George Melies fantasy “A Trip to the Moon.” The second feature will be the 30-minute animated short film, “Wallace and Gromit – A Grand Day Out,” made in 1991. The final feature will be the award-winning “One Small Visit,” the true story about an unexpected road trip to the hometown of Neil Armstrong in the fall of 1969.
