Does watching films on a rooftop with a cocktail in hand on a balmy evening sound dreamy to you? Then you're in luck, because a rooftop cinema is coming back to Cardiff this May - and the opening line-up of screenings has been announced.
The Cardiff Rooftop Cinema will return to Jacobs Roof Garden, a secluded roof terrace perched above Jacobs Antique Market in the city centre, for its summer 2024 season. And while watching the shows under the stars, you'll also get to enjoy panoramic views of Cardiff's cityscape and a rooftop bar with drinks and street food.
There will also be deck chairs for you to use, as well as wireless headphones so you can fully immerse yourself in the films. Two Welsh 90s classics have been announced for the opening week: Human Traffic on the first night (Friday, May 3) and Twin Town on the second night (Saturday, May 4). The event is organised by Lost Lands, a pop-up cinema company who are known for their unique film screenings in unusual spaces, like rooftops, basements and car parks.
