The Michigan Department of Transportation will host a public meeting April 10 to discuss the I-75 Business Loop (Square Lake Road) reconstruction project between Woodward Avenue and I-75 in Bloomfield Township.

Local business owners, area residents and other stakeholders are invited to the open house-style meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 10 at Bloomfield Township Hall, 4200 Telegraph Road.

MDOT is investing $15 million to rebuild this section of Square Lake Road. The project includes rebuilding pavement, drainage improvements, new curbs and gutters, signal upgrades and improvements to the Opdyke Road/Square Lake Road ramps.

Beginning April 15, westbound Square Lake Road will be closed from I-75 to Woodward through mid-summer. Once the westbound side is rebuilt, the eastbound side will be closed through fall.

Westbound traffic will be detoured further north on I-75 to westbound M-59, then further west through the Woodward Loop to southbound I-75 to westbound Square Lake Road.

Attendees who require mobility, visual, hearing, written or other assistance should contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or CurryO@Michigan.gov, preferably at least five business days before the meeting. Requests made after this will be evaluated and honored if possible. For more information, go to the state’s Title VI webpage, https://www.michigan.gov/MDOT/Programs/Title-VI.
