"This is an unprecedented jackpot win for Oregon Lottery," said Oregon Lottery Director Mike Wells, according to the Oregon Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at a Plaid Pantry convenience store.

It will receive a $100,000 prize of its own for selling the jackpot-winning ticket, per the Oregon Lottery.

"As you might imagine, a jackpot of this size is unprecedented here in Oregon. It will take time for us to complete the steps and the measures required to award the prize money," Melanie Mesaros, a spokesperson for the Oregon Lottery, according to USA Today.

To pay the winner, they need to verify the ticket information, confirm the retail purchase, and transfer the prize money from the Multi-State Lottery Association to Oregon, according to Mesaros.

By law, Oregon lottery winners cannot remain anonymous.

"We’re as anxious as you all to learn which one of our customers won this huge amount of money," said Jonathan Polonsky, the CEO of Plaid Pantry, according to USA Today.

"All our associates are ecstatic that we were able to sell this winning ticket."

This is the store's third winning ticket they have sold in the past year.
