Iowa residents might want to pay extra close attention to their old tickets.

The ticketholder made their potentially life-changing purchase at an alcohol retailer in Clinton on Bluff Boulevard.

The store Clinton Liquor is around 200 miles east of Des Moines.

Powerball prizes in Iowa expire 180 days after the draw date, in this case, November 25, 2023.

POWER PLAY

The player matched five white balls from the November drawing: 27, 33, 63, 66, and 68.

They were one number short of the jackpot and missed the number "9" for the red Powerball.

Usually matching the five white balls would result in a $1 million prize, but the player purchased Power Play with their ticket.

This special feature is added for an extra dollar and multiplies non-jackpot winnings.

The unidentified winner doubled their prize to a whopping $2 million.

If they find their ticket in time, they should make an appointment and visit Iowa's lotto headquarters in Clive to claim their winnings.

MILLION MADNESS

The Florida Lottery has its eyes on a major unclaimed prize worth $11 million.

The winner bought their ticket at a First Coast Energy gas station in Pompano Beach, 50 minutes north of Miami.

The drawing happened on April 11 and the lucky digits drawn were 7, 8, 16, 17, 25, and 33.

Florida also gives lotto players 180 days to claim prizes, so the fortune expires on October 7, 2025.

Mega Millions ticketholders could also be entitled to a $1 million prize without realizing it.

A player in Rhode Island bought their ticket from a Stop & Shop in Bristol, a half hour from Newport.

The drawing was held on February 2 and the player has one year to come forward to claim the prize.

Otherwise, the $1 million will be transferred to the State's General Fund as per the Rhode Island Lottery.

Lottery chiefs advise signing the backs of tickets and keeping them in a safe place as prizes can't be claimed without proof of purchase.
