Movie fans can grab the chance to see their favourite flashback films on a supersized screen at a discounted price in the coming weeks. Tickets will be available for £11.49, a 40 per cent reduction on a normal XPlus ticket, at Showcase Cinema off Redfield Way in Nottingham, from April 20.

The offer will be available for four classic films - Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Cillian Murphy, sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, Interstellar starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, which follows the adventures of a group of explorers looking at the limitations of human space travel, and a 25th-anniversary screening of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, on Star Wars Day, May 4.

All four films will be available in XPlus, which features a supersized, giant screen, with next-generation projection to give crystal-clear definition and the best and brightest picture, with the Dolby Atmos sound system delivering a fully immersive, powerful, and dramatic listening experience.

As well as the reduced general admission price of £11.49, it costs £10.49 for students, OAPs and children. Jon Dixon, UK marketing director at Showcase Cinemas said: “We’re really excited to be sharing such a fantastic offer across our incredible XPlus screens nationwide.

“Not only do our customers get to see their favourite flashback films return to the cinema, they’ll also get to watch them in the way they were meant to be seen – on the biggest of big screen, with XPlus offering an incredible immersive blockbuster experience!”
